YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE LOTS OF SPACE; P.E.P.A. arranges for a volunteer to visit you at home prior to fostering to ensure that the dog will suit your lifestyle and living conditions. YOU DON’T HAVE TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY; P.E.P.A. will help financially or by supplying products regarding equipment or feeding requirements. Medical bills are covered by P.E.P.A. YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HOLIDAYS; P.E.P.A. will provide a temporary home with another foster carer if you are on holiday. YOU DON’T HAVE TO GIVE UP ALL YOUR TIME; P.E.P.A. foster dogs should be thought of as beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, who come to visit once or twice a year, during which time everyone thoroughly enjoys themselves, but, at the end of the holiday, they go home, happy and content, whilst you sit back, relax feeling pleased that you had them to stay. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN EXPERT; P.E.P.A. foster carers give an abandoned animal a sense of security, regular food and lots of love. Something these animals probably have not experienced in a long time.

My name is Katie I am a 8 months old Lurcher. Thankfully I was picked up in Calpe wandering in the orange groves. I was very traumatised and frightened of everyone. After lots of great care and love I have started to come out of my shell and I think I would make a great pet. Should you be able to re-home foster or sponsor one of the adorable dogs please contact Eleanor 677 381 111. Finca la Castellana, Animal Welfare Centre.
Hudson is a beautiful German Shepherd X who was seen being thrown out of a van in the middle of the night. He was very thin, but after lots of TLC he is starting to gain weight. He is vaccinated, micro-chipped and castrated. All Hudson wants to do is be by someone’s side. He walks well on a lead and will be a wonderful, loyal and faithful dog for someone. Grand Charity Auction
It has been obvious for many years that Benissa, Teulada and Moraira need an animal sanctuary to care for abandoned animals.
Other local shelters cannot be expected to take in all animals from all areas. A team of experienced people started pursuing this last January. A legal charity has been set up, Associacion Protectora De Animales De Teulada Y Benissa, registered charity CIF No G54557574, and we have been negotiating with Benissa and Teulada councils who are promising to give us land to start this project. We already have ninety members and funds to help us on our way. However it is going to take a lot of fundraising and effort to get up and running and we need all the support we can get. To find out more about AKIRA contact Elaine Sydney 965 973 822 or 660 814 083.

LIBRO, male, Shelter since
18.08.2010.Labrador Mix, DOB 15.08.2008 – 55 cm Libro had moved into a garden and subsisted from everything he could find in his neighbourhood. But then some guests came into the house and they called us because they did not want to share the plot with a dog. Libro is house trained, he likes other dogs, even males and he would be a fine family dog. And he would not mind sharing his life with children. Call 618 754 635 (Jacky).
