Guardian Angels launch regular coffee morning /drop-in sessions.
Single-parent support group Guardian Angels is expanding the services it offers to members by starting regular coffee morning/drop-in sessions at the Help Centre in Av. del Oeste, La Xara. From the 4th February, existing members or anyone interested in joining them will be able to call into the centre between 10:30 and 12:30 on Saturdays for a cup of coffee or tea, chat to other members or to one of the group’s organisers or mentors and find out more about the group.
Founder and President Tricia Barr said, “We are a relatively new, secular charity, dedicated to helping ease the isolation of one-parent families on the Costa Blanca with an on-call network of support. We already organise ‘fun days’ and other events for our members and their families but this new venture provides a more casual way of meeting and providing support for each other. We hope it will also attract other single parents keen to find out more about our group and talk to others in similar circumstances.”
