Female Focus Chillis, Moraira

A warm welcome awaits you at Chillis, in Moraira.

Bill and Caroline Dyer have spent the last 3-4 months renovating, and Sunday 15th January saw over 100 people celebrate their grand opening. Chillis can be found in Moraira behind the European centre. A key feature will be the outdoor big screen, for football and other sporting events.

The outdoor area is actually heated with Bill’s own infrared heating courtesy of their other business - Radycal Heating, which has also been relocated adjacent to Chillis. So now you have 2 opportunities for heat under 1 roof, Chillis bar and Radycal Heating.

Lions Birthday party and Blossom Walk.

The Lions of Jalon and Orba hosted a birthday party for Melvin Jones who founded the Lions Club in Chicago in 1917.

The celebrations took place at Eddie Rockets in the Commercial Centre in Ondara. As Melvin would have been 133 years old he did not attend in person but members hoped that he appreciated the toasts and good wishes! Attending the event were members and Officers from three local Clubs: Jalon and Orba; Teulada and Moraira; and Calpe and Benissa, including President Anna Cameron from Jalon and Orba, and President Mike Warnes from Calpe and Benissa (in the front row of the photograph).

The next function for the Lions of Jalon and Orba will be a Blossom Walk in the Jalon Valley on Sunday 19th February. Walkers will meet at the TI centre in Jalon at 10.45 to start at 11am. There is no charge for this walk, but all donations for local charities will be gratefully received. Dogs on leads will be welcome.
