Thai cultural show at Rose Garden
Day 5 – From Phitsanulok, through Sukhothai and Phayao to Chiang Rai Morning: after breakfast drive to Sukhothai Historical Park, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch is at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: continue the drive north, via the small town of Phayao, to Chiang Rai, where you spend the next two nights.
Evening: dinner.
Day 6 – Hill Tribes and the Golden Triangle Morning: board a pick-up truck to climb narrow mountain roads and visit several villages. Later visit a market town on the Myanmar border.
Afternoon: drive to the renowned Golden Triangle for views over Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and the mighty Mekong River. There is an optional boat cruise on the river before returning to the hotel.
Evening: dinner.
Day 7 – Drive to Chiang Mai, ‘the Rose of the North’ Morning: experience beautiful mountain scenery en route to Chiang Mai.
Afternoon: visit the area’s palaces and temples. Enjoy an optional bamboo raft ride along the Ping River before going to the hotel.
Evening: dinner.
Day 8 – Elephant Camp Morning: visit an elephant camp on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. See a demonstration of working elephants and if you are brave enough you can have an optional elephant ride.
Afternoon: see the famous regional handicrafts, including silk, paper umbrellas, silverware, lacquer ware and jewellery.

Day 9 – Return to Bangkok and travel on to Western Thailand Morning: fly to Bangkok and continue to Kanchanaburi where you see the world- famous ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’, the original bridge was built during World War II by Allied prisoners of war; you also take a ride on the notorious ‘Death Railway’.
Afternoon: visit the War Museum and the well-kept cemetery, which contains the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allied soldiers, before heading to the hotel.
Evening: dinner.
Day 10 – Floating Market – Rose Garden Cultural Show – Beach resort Morning: visit the Floating Market, which is still unspoiled by the influence of the modern city. Then go to the Rose Garden for lunch and a stunning Thai Cultural Show.
Afternoon: continue to the hotel beach resort for a four-night stay.
Evening: dinner
Days 11-13 – Relax in the beach resort of Cha Am Free to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of your hotel, beside the Gulf of Thailand. Optional excursions will be available to see the highlights of the region.
Day 14 – Return flight from Bangkok to London Heathrow The flight back to the UK lands in the evening.
