Zakopane and the Tatra mountains
Kraków, the former capital of Poland, is one of the most beautiful cities in Central Europe. It is ideally situated for visits to some of Poland’s most famous attractions such as the stunning Salt Mines, and infamous ones such as the former Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz. Not far from Kraków is the Alpine town of Zakopane, located at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, where you can easily relax away the day. The 2012 itinerary has been extended by one day.
