Recreation Passes & Permits A Recreation Pass covers the use of many improved trailheads, picnic areas, boat launches and interpretive sites on National Forests throughout Oregon and Washington. Recreation Pass Required signs are posted at participating sites. In addition to US Forest Service offices,

the Northwest Forest Pass ($5 daily and $30 annual) may be pur- chased through local vendors: Mather’s Market in Cedar Flat; Leaburg Country Store; Meyer’s General Store in Blue River; and at Harbick’s Country Store in Rainbow; as well as at all area BiMart Stores and REI Sporting Goods stores. The only pass accepted at Blue River Reservoir and Slide Creek (boat launches) is the onsite fee. There are two types of Wilderness Permits: 1. The wilderness self-issue permit is free and available at wil-

derness trailheads. They help during search and rescue operations and in tracking use trends. 2. A wilderness limited entry permit is required for overnight

and day visits to the Obsidian area (Three Sisters Wilderness) and the Pamelia area (Mt. Jefferson Wilderness). Campground and Cabin reservations can be made through

the National Recreation Reservation Service by calling the toll-free phone number: 1-877-444-6777 or by going online to www.recreation.gov.
