submitted by Cathy Robertson-Souter Girls from Windham, Pelham and Salem were well represented on the awards podium when their teams won first place at the Boston Classic gymnastics meet over the weekend of January 14- 15.

Hampshire and Massachusetts, the girls from Phantom Gymnastics in Hampstead hit several personal bests, enough to take home the top place in the team competition for Levels 4, 5, 6 and 7. Level 9 came in fourth place in the team competition.

Windham, Pelham, and Salem include: Level 5 - First place for team: Kasey Hartmann of Salem took first place on vault with a 9.3, third on beam (9.325) and floor (9.35), and first place in the All Around with her personal best score for Level 5 of 37.225. Sydney Chretien of Salem was first on beam with a 9.575, second on floor with


Windham celebrated her 10th birthday with an amazing performance. She was first on bars with a 9.25, second on vault with a 9.2, fourth on beam with a 9.425 and won the All Around with a score of 36.95. Scarlett Souter of Windham took third place on vault with a 9.425, fourth on bars and floor (9.125) and third in the All Around for the senior division with a score of 36.0. MacKenzie Svenson of Salem took first place on vault with a score of 9.525. Jordan Wakim of Salem scored her personal best for Level 6 with an All Around score of 35.5. Elizabeth Aldrich of Salem scored her personal best for Level 6 with an All Around score of 35.15. Kacie Blanchet of Salem also scored her personal best for Level 6 with an All Around score of 34.05. Level 7 - First place for team: Gabriella Palermo of Salem took third on bars with a 9.275, fifth on floor with a 9.325 and fourth in the All Around with a 36.8. Rebecca Heath of Windham was fourth on vault with a 9.3, third on floor with a 9.4, and sixth in the All Around with a total score of 36.475. Olivia Champagne of Salem scored a personal best with a total of 36.275 in the All Around. Sydney Bartlett of Salem took first place on beam with a 9.25. Level 9: Sara Fisher of Pelham was sixth on

Windham, Pelham, and Salem include: Level 5: Kacie Hartman of Salem took first place on vault (9.2) and bars (9.05) and second on beam (9.1). She placed first in the all-around with a score of 36.15. Emily Jones of Salem took first on beam with a 9.15 and second on bars with an 8.85. She came in fifth in the all-around for her age group. Level 6: Elizabeth Aldrich of Salem won first on beam with a 9.3, scored a 9.0 on vault for fourth place, took fourth on bars and won second in the all-around with a score of 35.2. Scarlett Souter of Windham won third place on bars, tied Elizabeth for fourth on vault, took fifth on beam and floor and won third place in the all-around. Jordan Wakim of Salem tied for fifth on bars, and took fifth on vault (8.7) and fourth on floor (8.95). Olivia Faro of Windham took first place on beam with a 9.2, third on floor and bars, fifth on vault and won second place in the all-around. MacKenzie Svenson of Salem took second on floor with an 8.9 and on vault with a 9.1, tied for fourth on beam and in the all-around. And Kacie Blanchet of Salem took third place on beam, fourth on floor and fifth on bars.


Local Gymnasts Compete in Qualifying Meet


submitted by Mary Alice Boone On Saturday, January 21, Level 4, Level 5, and Level 6 gymnasts representing Spectrum Gymnastics Academy of Londonderry competed in a local qualifying meet sponsored by Gymnastics Village of Amherst. The results for gymnasts from Windham and Litchfield were as follows: Level 4: Aislinn Milner of Windham – second on bars, sixth vault, eighth on floor and seventh All-Around. Level 5: Samantha Parzych of Litchfield - third on bars and floor, eighth on beam and 11th All- Around; Kathryn Boone of Windham - first on bars, second on beam, fifth on floor, eighth on vault and second All-Around. Level 6: Lexi Grant of Litchfield - second on


vault, third on floor, sixth on beam, seventh on bars and fourth All-Around. Congratulations to all Spectrum gymnasts on a job well done!
