Brain Bop: Smarten Up and Calm Down through Movement - Kate Kuper

ACPL / ABC

Brain Bop is a movement pattern sequence based on neurological development from pre-birth to age one. This practical, easy-to-learn, and enjoyable activity promotes myelination between brain cells, thus speeding up connections that encourage learning, concentration, socialization, and anger management. The sequence typically takes 5-7 minutes to do. Start class with Brain Bop and get better listening and learning from your students. Kuper models variations for different age groups, explains the underlying science, and shows methods for relaxation.

GWCC Harrison B

The ability to improvise (aka noodle) using our voices exists as soon as a basic aural vocabulary exists. It is crucial to address this national standard at a young age before adolescent and adult inhibitions take over and we become “chicken to noodle”. This activity-based session will involve the participants in introductory improvisational activities, exploring a sequence of instruction that develops confident young improvisers. Please don’t be chicken to attend.
