Local horse owners can expect top-class livery and clinics with international trainers, together with a competition programme. If you really want to get involved but can’t stretch to owning a horse of your own, ‘horse sharing’ is an option. “If you have a part-share in a horse, it’s a great way to get involved in caring for your animal rather than just riding,” says Gabriella. If you fancy treating yourself to a weekend break, Bedgebury Park’s luxury holiday cottages are adjacent to the famous Bedgebury Pinetum, and are the closest available
accommodation to the forest. They will be newly refurbished and ready to rent this spring. Also new for 2012 will be a range of courses at Bedgebury Park, including photography.
