Saddle up for the 2012 Hoedown T
he Good Samaritan Society – Decatur County invites you to its
third annual Hoedown fundraiser. The community-wide event will take place on Saturday, March 24, at the American Legion Hall in Oberlin. Doors open at 6 p.m., and a prime
rib dinner will be served at 7 p.m. A silent auction featuring items from local vendors and businesses will be open from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 each, and sponsorships
are available for purchase. For information about sponsoring the
event, purchasing tickets, or donating items for the silent auction, please call Dianne Bremer at (785) 475-3400 or Cindi Sloan-Sauder at (785) 475-2245. The deadline for sponsorships and
auction items is March 16. The deadline for purchasing tickets is March 20. The 2011 Hoedown raised $9,100 for Good Samaritan Society – Decatur County. The money was used to purchase a BioStep recumbent elliptical machine for the physical therapy department, a new Christmas tree for the center, a breadmaker for the activities depart- ment, a towel warmer for the bathhouse, and furniture for the staff lounge and conference room. All proceeds from the 2012 Hoedown
will go toward various projects at Good Samaritan Society – Decatur County. (See page 2 for some examples.) As a not-for-profit organization, all
gifts to the center are tax-deductible within IRS regulations. V
