OTHER GREAT OPPORTUNITIES WITH MISSION DIRECT
Leadership roles with Mission Direct
Come as a team and make your church:
Gap year? Career Break? Early Retirement? We may have just the thing for you
We are looking for Christians to volunteer with us overseas for 3 months or more. This is a crucial role: ensuring the smooth running of the teams and projects. We will ensure that you are well briefed and supported, so that you can make the very best of the job.
The team leader takes overall charge of the teams, using organisational and pastoral skills, to ensure that everybody works as effectively and harmoniously as possible.
The staff team does all that is necessary to ensure that each trip runs smoothly. You make sure that everything is covered, including food, travel and accommodation. Your help means that our volunteer teams can get on with the business of changing lives, unhindered by logistical surprises. And, crucially, it means that houses, classrooms and clinics get built!
If you think that you may be suited to one of these roles,
then please contact Jackie on 01582 720056 to learn more about the opportunities on offer.
A number of church and youth groups have joined us on a Mission Direct trip. Each time they remark on what a positive effect it has had on them. As a team you can make a huge difference to our regular projects, or provide the volunteers and resources for a specific project (school, clinic or other).
‘This has been a shot in the arm for the whole church, broadening our horizons and making us
reflect on our discipleship’ Revd Jeremy Follett, Vicar of Christchurch, St Albans

Contribution: £1,495 What your contribution covers
We want to make ‘doing mission’ as easy as possible for you. For this reason, the suggested trip contribution covers nearly every aspect of your stay. We look after all of the following for you: • Flights from the UK • Insurance and visas • In-country travel and accommodation • Food and water • Entry fees for cultural outings • Orientation and debrief days in the UK to help you get the most from your trip. In short it means that we do all the tricky logistics for you.
As well as your suggested contribution, we ask you to raise the vital funds for the project that you will be working on; such things as building materials, local labour and expertise. This money is essential to its running - please be ready to raise as much extra as you can. Remember though, 100% of this money goes straight overseas to the project, where it will go a long, long way.
