FAIR PREP ROOM SERVICES
Stop by the Prep Room before entering the fair. The Career Center staff offers services that help you prepare and accomplish your goals.
COMPUTER STATIONS
Use computers to research and gather information on the companies at the fair in which you have an interest.
CONSULTANT TABLE
Visit a career consultant to practice your 30-second commercial or to ask any questions that you have about interacting with companies at the fair.
PREP TABLES
Take a moment to sit and prepare to enter the career fair. You can review your materials and consider which companies you want to focus on, and what you want to say.
• CREATE A 30-SECOND COMMERCIAL to use as an introduction, and to identify selling points.
• BE PREPARED to ask specific, targeted questions which provide you information about the type of position, employer, or industry in which you have an interest. Take a moment to write them down.
• FIRST IMPRESSIONS are important! Greet the employer with a strong handshake, and make eye contact.
TIPS
• RESEARCH COMPANIES before you enter the career fair. Your research allows you to connect with the representative about the company mission and goals, and how you will be a great fit!
