ley, founder of Spokane Valley Dentistry, reached a time in his life to retire. “It has been my honor to provide care to you and your families. I could not have asked for better patients. I am excited for the many opportunities retire- ment offers,” Dr. Hinckley wrote in a farewell letter to his valued patients this past summer. “The great team that you and I have had the privilege to work with will con- tinue to greet you and help you to have excellent oral health,” he continues. “The smiles and friendships that have been developed over the years will still be there for you.”

Dr. Layne Hinckley

The new face at Spokane Valley Dentistry is Dr. Joseph Cram - or “Dr. Joe” as he prefers to be known. Dr. Hinckley was honored as Top Dentist by his peers several years in a row and Dr. Joe will continue to provide the same outstanding quality of care. Dr. Joe is no stranger to the Inland Northwest. He spent four years in Spokane as a youngster when his father was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. He later attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS degree in 1991. After serving a tour in the Air Force as a Captain in the Air Force Dental Corp, he built a successful dental practice in Bellevue. After more than a decade of dealing with the hectic pace of big city life, Dr. Joe decided it was time to look for a place to live and work that offered a better quality of life. “My family has always come to the Inland Northwest for skiing or boating. I love the outdoors,” Dr. Joe says. “My wife and I will be having a baby soon, and the Spokane area is a great place to raise a family.” “I wanted to find a nice, solid dental practice,” he adds. “Nobody was bet- ter than Dr. Hinckley.” Dr. Joe and the team at Spokane Valley Dentistry see patients of all ages,

starting as early as two and a half years old. As a General Dentist, Dr. Joe places an emphasizes on lifetime prevention as well as employing superior dental treatments. Patient exams are performed with a tiny intra-oral camera that enables

Dr. Joe and his team to diagnose problems such as cavities, cracked teeth, broken fillings and cavities next to fillings in their earliest stages. Instant playback helps patients make better, more informed decisions about their dental treatment. An intra-oral camera helps you become a true partner in your dental care. Digital X-rays offer unparalleled benefits over traditional radiographs:

they’re convenient, provide a great opportunity for patient education, can be transferred and copied accurately, and best of all, they’re safer for our patients - reducing exposure to radiation by up to 90 percent. As an added convenience to patients, Spokane Valley Dentistry offers

Dr. Joe and the team at Spokane Valley Dentistry carry on the tradition of outstanding quality dental care.

Cerec crowns - laser scanned, computer-generated natural-looking porcelain restorations - made right in the office by Dr. Joe. Whether patients are looking for a routine cleaning or to completely redo their smile, Dr. Joe focuses his attention on each individual and the task at hand. “I try to do my very best each and every time,” he says. “I like getting to know my patients and developing a long term relationship with them.” “I am grateful to find someone who has 20 years of experience, to whom I can entrust the care of my patients,” states Dr. Hinckley. “I am sure that as you receive your continued dental care with Dr. Joe, you will be very pleased with his fine personality, integrity and professional skills.”
