Kids use Flynn locations, onstage and off, to explore the process of digital-media production from both sides of the lens. Find out how acting for film and TV differs from performing live on stage, then become a writer, director, location scout, makeup artist, costume designer, and more as you shoot a comedy, star in a drama, or create sound effects for an action film. Our world premiere at week’s end is open to family and friends. See you on the big screen!

JUNE 25-29 Wizards, Wands, & Magical Lands THEATER / FANTASY Just say “abracadabra” and you can escape muggle madness with us, and jump into the wizarding world of Harry Potter! Campers use the magic of acting and stagecraft to conjure up their own enchanted tale, then write a script and experiment with lighting, sets, sound effects, and costumes as they mount their original play. We cast a spell on family and friends when they see our presentation of mystical mayhem at week’s end. Go from 0-to-60 on a flying broom in just five fun days—hold on tight!

JULY 2-6 4-day week, no camp on July 4 Camp Half-Blood: Percy Jackson & the Olympians at Champlain College THEATER / FANTASY Attention all Demigods: Camp Half-Blood has relocated to Burlington, and Dionysius is looking for you! Using dramatic activities, we construct a quest of mythic proportions based on the characters and creatures in Rick Riordan’s books. Monsters, Pegasi, Furies, and Drakons may appear as our theatrical tale unfolds, and we’ll share it all with family and friends (even mere mortals) at week’s end. Villains beware . . . the oracle has prophesied that our demigods will prevail!

Live on TV! with ECHO at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain TELEVISION / SCIENCE “Huge tornado headed this way!” “Sea Monster spotted in Lake Champlain!” Become famous TV news reporters and meteorologists for a week as we investigate wild story tips and weather phenomena at ECHO, and transform our tales into dramatic TV shows at the Flynn. Campers learn tips of the trade that promote curiosity and confidence, leave camp with a DVD of one of their broadcasts, and even appear live on TV with WPTZ News Channel 5!
