welcome

Summer is just around the corner…and we can’t wait! Here at the Flynn, we believe in helping you use summer’s freedom to unearth creativity, nurture talents, and grow as human beings. We think that artists are not a special kind of people, but that every person is a special kind of artist. Most of our programs gently lead students and campers to uncover their own voices, their own styles, and their own genius. Some programs, particularly Summertime Jazz and the Summer Youth Theater productions for teens, provide talented (and most importantly, passionate) students with the opportunity to increase and showcase their skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Summer programs are held in our two well- equipped studios at the Flynn Center, in our black-box theater, FlynnSpace and at other partner sites: Burlington City Arts, Shelburne Farms, Vermont Public Radio, the OFF Center, the ECHO Center, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Fletcher Free Library, the Champlain Mill, and Champlain College. We’re happy to provide supervised care until 5 pm following all camps held at the Flynn to make life easier on working parents.

We can’t wait for you to get to know our high- caliber teaching artists; our commitment to individual attention; and our dedication to fostering the creative spirit and igniting curiosity about the artistic process, helping students make the arts an integral part of their lives. Take a look around, and come join the summer fun!

Warm Regards,
