jazz summertime
july 23-27
The Summertime Jazz program gives talented students the unparalleled chance to study with incredible guest artist/educators and local professionals who are passionate about teaching. In the true spirit of jazz, we encourage improvisation, individual expression, cooperation, and mutual respect. Students get personalized instruction and special workshops, tickets to the exciting faculty concert, a gig of their own at week’s end, and introductions to new friends and mentors. It’s a memorable and meaningful week of music-making!
Summertime Jazz is supported by the Flynn Jazz Endowment, initiated by a challenge grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and matched by generous support from the community. 14
