JULY 16-20
History Comes Alive! At the Champlain Mill in Winooski THEATER / HISTORY • AGES 8-13 Travel back to the Civil War era, when a vibrant mix of people flocked to Vermont mills for work. Imagine you’re a French Canadian or Irish immigrant coming to start a new life, or a Yankee Vermonter meeting people from another culture for the very first time—when the Civil War breaks out! In this week of improvisation at the Mill Museum, historic Winooski buildings, and surrounding natural areas along the river, we’ll develop real and fictional costumed characters who respond to the challenges of the time. Family and friends get to see highlights from the week’s adventures on Friday.
9 am-3 pm • Joan Robinson • Champlain Mil $298 • Limit: 18 • Note: former campers aged 14-18 can apply for a limited number of leader-in- training spots (tuition: $200). Please submit letter of interest with registration by April 15. Decisions will be made by May 1.
