I decided to take a look at a different side of cannabis in Issue 7 of ISMOKE Magazine, in an article I called “Te Many Uses of Hemp”. I started it as a single article, but as I wrote I re- alised more and more how massive the subject of hemp was, and decided to expand it into a three-piece feature over the next issues. Al- ice Ayers also wrote an excellent and moving article entitled “Reefer Cures Madness”, docu- menting cannabis’ benefits for somebody suf- fering with bipolar disorder, which has since been posted on the CLEAR website - you can read and comment here - http://clear-uk.org/ reefer-cures-madness. Len Richmond, direc- tor of “What if Cannabis Cured Cancer” was also kind enough to do an interview for this seventh issue.

Issue 8 marked a year since the conception of ISMOKE.TK, and my campaigns to raise awareness for cannabis. Te year had flown by! Professor Lee also wrote a great piece en- titled “Faster Flowers” which was a brilliant read for people who dabble in the growing of herbs.

Po Man returned for Issue 10 of ISMOKE Magazine. Ainsley Bedford also wrote an ar- ticle called “Young, Dumb and Full of THC”, a great read, and Jason Reed wrote “Te Joys of Activism – Should we be faces or faceless” ex- ploring cannabis protestors and their various methods. I wrote an article called “Cannabis and Inspiration” which can be read at http://bit.ly/yTacv8.

Issue 11 of ISMOKE Magazine was the first Christmas special.

I had recently returned

from Amsterdam, and wrote a full report in- cluding high-res photos of 17 strains of can- nabis I had smoked which can be found online at http://bit.ly/z03j8Z. Tis issue also featured an article called “New Year New Smoke by Ainsley Bedford”, which gave

readers ideas

for safer alternatives to tobacco, as well as a Christmas special of ISMOKE Reviews.

And here we are!

It seems like just yesterday I was writing my first blog posts, and now ISMOKE Magazine has been out for a whole year.

It has been a

pleasure to write, and it wouldn’t have been possible without ISMOKE’s featured authors, and you lovely stoners who read each issue.

Ainsley Bedford was introduced in issue 9, with his article “Te Winds of Change” all about the changing attitudes and tolerance to- wards cannabis. I also wrote the last part of “Te Many Uses of Hemp” for this issue.
