On Thursday, January 11, Livia Adair, 8, and Maggie Adair, 6, performed an Irish Step Dance for the seniors at the Hudson Community Center. The girls are students at the Maureen Haley School of Irish Dance in Sandwich, MA, and are great- granddaughters of Lois Kopiski of Hudson.

Promoted to Rank of Sergeant


Chris Campbell, a 2007 graduate of Alvirne High school


was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Army Infantry Division. Campbell finished his basic training in Georgia and is stationed in Colorado Springs, CO, when he isn’t deployed. He had a tour in Iraq and is currently serving in Afghanistan. Campbell joined the Army between his junior and senior year of high school. He began basic training at Fort Sill, OK. While he was in Oklahoma he was chosen to be the Assistant Platoon Leader. After some time at Fort Sill he headed back to Alvirne for his senior year. While between tours Campbell married his girlfriend Stephanie. According to his mother, Karen Campbell, the two plan on having “a real wedding” when he is debriefed. From there he may go back to his base in Colorado Springs, or he may get orders to report to a new base.
