SOCIAL and VOCATIONAL SKILLS


Ross High School held its annual Christ- mas Fair on Saturday 10 December and despite the surprising snow fall over night; this did not stop this event again being a great success.


The Fair is part of the S4 SVS course and each SVS class takes part in or- ganising the event. The whole event was co-ordinated by Ms Hull who teaches SVS in addition to Modern Studies. There were a number of stalls in the Assembly Hall including the popular homebaking stall, a second


hand book stall by the Support for Learning staff, the ASN department Enterprise Group, the Ross High Eco Group selling their own eco-friendly shopping bags, a tombola, raffle and a number of external stalls.


The Pupil Social Area was transformed into Santa‟s Grotto where pupil ran a number of events such as how many sweets are in the jar, guess teddy‟s birthday, knock down the Christmas pre- sents, face painting and the very popular human fruit machine. In addition, Santa himself made an appearance at his Grot- to to the delight of many young visitors. All of the hard work and enterprising flair from our S4s resulted in the Fair raising £1,100!
