descended on the townʼs station to help bring a little Christmas cheer to weary

commuters. The children spent their regular Monday meeting making

decorations for a Christmas tree at the station following an invitation by the railway company.

Children from Hurst Green School entertained invited guests with a

Christmas concert. The youngsters sang a selection of seasonal songs and carols and the event was followed by tea, coffee and cakes.

Pupils were on hand to man a variety of stalls when Edenbridge Primary School held its Christmas Fayre featuring everything from a stocking tree, spin a chocolate and a chance to visit Santa in his grotto. Pictured above are Thomas Nolan (11) and Sara Wiggins (11), while Myles Spencer (11), Vanzlow Lee (10), Todd English (10) and Jack Turk (10) helped out on the card tombola (right).

DISCOVER the benefits of part time dog ownership and become a host for Barking Mad! Many people at this time of year want to improve their lifestyle and we all know the benefits of having a dog – better health, lower stress levels and a more robust immune system – but what about the cost? Food and vet bills can be astronomical, so how can we get all of the benefits without having to spend out? Barking Mad offers a unique and professional alternative to kennels and as part of an ever growing network of branches, has now launched in the West Kent area. The proprietor, Philippa James is keen to recruit additional host families in order to keep up with the continued demand for the service, particularly through the spring and summer months. As a host you would enjoy all the benefits of

dog companionship without any of the full time or financial commitments. We carefully match pets with the right host families who continue the dogs’ home life routines for exercising, feeding and of course that all important TLC.

Philippa says ”Our hosts have a great time – getting out and about, meeting new people and even getting a bit fitter – We live in a beautiful part of the world and having a dog is a brilliant excuse to go out for a walk. The dogs arrive with everything they need for their holiday and quickly make themselves at home” If you would like to join in on the fun and become a Barking Mad host, contact Philippa on 01892 825517, or email philippa.james@barkingmad.uk.com.
