Theresa Drabinowicz Theresa (LaValley)


Drabinowicz, 88, of Nashua, a well-known native of this city, died January 3, 2012, at the Hillsborough County Nursing


Home in Goffstown after a brief illness. Born in Nashua on November 4, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Raymond H. and Alice J. (Enright) LaValley. Theresa was educated in local schools and took courses at Rivier College’s RISE Program. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Women’s Guild of the parish. Mrs. Drabinowicz was employed by the former Nashua Mills, was a computer disk coater at Nashua Corporation, and later worked as an expeditor at the former Sanders Associates, Inc. Active in city and state government,


Theresa was a member of the Democratic Women’s Club, serving as secretary and president during the 1960s. She was involved in the presidential campaigns for


Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, and Carter; and many gubernatorial and mayoral campaigns. She was elected three times as Selectman of Nashua’s Ward 4 from 1964 to 1969; and served as chairman in 1967-1968 and 1983-1984. Theresa was a Representative to the General Court from 1967 through 1972. She served in the Executive Department of Administration Committee starting in 1967; was assistant clerk of the Judiciary Department from 1971 to 1973; was chairman of the Nashua Delegation to the General Court from 1968-1972 and was vice chairman of the Hillsborough County Delegation to the General Court in 1971. Mrs. Drabinowicz was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and was the recipient of the Life Member award. She was actively involved with the New Hampshire Disabled American Veterans and the Gate City Chapter 7 DAV. She worked on the committee to dedicate the statue of the late President John F. Kennedy in front of the Nashua City Hall. In 1971, she was honored as Woman of the Week in Nashua by radio station WSMN and the

Joshua R. Lorden, 22, of Nashua died unexpectedly at his home on January 6, 2012. He was born March 19, 1989, in Concord, the son of Teri Lorden of Nashua and John B. Lorden of Concord. Joshua attended Wilton-Lyndeborough High


School. He loved animals, the outdoors, and fishing. Joshua moved from Wilton to Nashua two years ago.


In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived only $20


284 Webster Street, Hudson, on Saturday, January 14, at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to make a donation in Joshua’s memory to Calvary Assembly of God in Hudson. Flowers are also welcome.


HMS Wrestling Results


submitted by Mark Levesque The Hudson Memorial (HMS) Wrestling team sponsored by the Boys and Girls club of Nashua attended the Chelmsford (MA) Youth Tournament on January 8. They also attended a team meet at Hollis-Brookline Middle School on January 9. Many members of the Hudson Team wrestled multiple very tough matches. The individual results are as

1590 Broadcaster. Theresa was a member and past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 483 of Nashua. Among her hobbies and interests was her


enjoyment of collecting stamps, miniature statues and portraits of U.S. Presidents. She enjoyed martial arts and received a black belt in both Kenpo Karate and En De Ryu- Jiu-JitSu. She also was a supporter and honorary member of the National Police Academy.

Pursuant to RSA 31-95-e, and in accordance with Article 12 of the March 1993 Town Meeting, the Hudson Board of Selectmen shall hold a public hearing in conjunction with their regularly scheduled meeting on January 24, 2012, which starts at 7:00 p.m. and is held in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room at Town Hall, 12 School Street, Hudson, NH, relative to the acceptance of a donation to the Hudson Police Department K9 unit of a protective K9 vest, which is valued at $750. Any NH resident who wishes to speak on this matter is invited to attend.
