Saturday, February 11 An “Afternoon Tea, a Gift of Love,” will be held at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church to support homeless families in the area. Bringing loved ones, from little daughters to precious old friends, will be a gift of love, while also bestowing love on the more than 155 homeless families in our part of Rockingham County. The tea will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., with seating every hour. Live musical entertainment can be enjoyed while waiting for seating times, or afterwards to linger in the pleasant Victorian atmosphere. Beautiful hats and long skirts will lend to the ambiance but are not required. Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite teacup and saucer wrapped in a tea towel for safe and spotless transport. Rather than tickets, donations from the heart are requested. Call Triumphant Cross at 603-893-0305 or email info@
triumphantcross.org to make reservations to the tea. The church office is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. till noon, but messages can be left and will be returned. Donations of delectable tea desserts, special teas, centerpieces, table coverings and time and ideas will be appreciated.
