Wine & Dine — Tuesday, January 10, 2012 Launch party open to all

By GLENNA TURNBULL Special to eVent

This year, for the first time, the launch party for Thompson Okanagan Wine and Dine will be opened to the public.

“Traditionally, it used to just be open to the media, but people in the Okanagan love these kinds of events, so we decided to open it up,” said Rosanne Ting-Mak Brown, coordinator of this year’s Thompson Okanagan Wine and Dine event.

“We’re going to have 10 wineries and a dozen restaurants there, and all attendees can sample all the food and wine from these restau- rants and wineries,” she said. Unlike other events, where you have to purchase taste tickets on top of the admission ticket, at the Wine and Dine Launch Party, everything is included in your ticket price of just $25. “We have limited tickets, though,” warned Ting-Mak Brown, with only 200 available and already selling quickly.
