1980 – 1989
Arshad Madni (BSc ’84) works for Maxim Integrated products as a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer in Bristol. In his spare time, he composes classical music and recently released his first Classical CD for String Quartet, Mystic thoughts, which can be downloaded at www.
theclassicalshop.net.
Stuart Runham (BEng ’89) after 20 years as an Aeronautical Engineer in the Ministry of Defence, Stuart has taken the opportunity to change direction and is now a professional photographer. He has been running his own photographic business for nearly two years and is now the official photographer for the Precious Children Charity, a new charity dedicated to helping orphans in Africa; where he will be accompany them to Swaziland to document their work. He also works in the fashion and commercial areas building a reputation for vintage themed photography.

1990 – 1999
Christopher Adamson (BA ’96) graduated with a degree in Modern Languages and is now Director of a recruitment firm, Adamson & Partners, which his father founded in the 1980’s. The firm also sponsors the yearly intellectual property prize at the University’s Law School. He is married with two young children and lives in South West London.
John Baldwin (BSc ‘92; MA ’95) moved to Chicago in 2000 to work in IT for Eurex and CBOT futures exchanges. In 2007 he moved to Singapore still managing IT infrastructure in the trading industry. He has recently moved to Colarado and is looking forward to enjoying the mountain lifestyle.

Leon Calverley (BSc ’98) founded and runs his own digital marketing agency in Lancashire. He is married with two young children.
Annie Collinson (BSc ’93) has set up a fitness and weight loss boot camp, based in the heart of the Forest of Bowland, Lancashire. SlimThin Bootcamp runs a 5 day residential weight loss camp with luxury accommodation and all exercises included (

Peter Corby (BEng ’93) is the Managing Director of a steel marketing company in Leicester. He is married with a child.
Julie Harding (BA ’97) started her career in marketing before moving into recruitment. She set up her own business,
www.cvmatters.com, nine years ago. She is also a qualified teacher of French, German and Spanish. She lives in Hampshire with her husband and two children.
Vicki Harvey (BSc ’96; MBA ’10) after several years in industry returned to the University of Salford to complete her MBA at the Business School. She is now a part-time lecturer in the Salford Business School after completing the PGCAP course.
Mike Honeyman (BEng ’95) spent several years working around the UK before moving to Australia at the start of 2007, working in civil engineering in the water industry. He is now back at University doing a GradDip in Ornithology (distance learning) at Charles Stuart University. He has been married to Sophie for ten years and has two children nine and three years old.
Sten Otto Johnsen (BEng ’91) and Monika Elisabeth Fidtje (BSc ’92) who met at the University, married in May 2011, after being engaged for over 20 years. They are psychotherapists, with their own
