photographer Chuck graham’s work has appeared in Patagonia, Canoe & Kayak, outdoor Photographer and BBC Wildlife. the adventure traveler also pens “Unpredictable Wilderness,” a


monthly column in Coastal View news and serves as editor of Deep, a surfer and adventure aquatic magazine. additionally, Chuck is the Supervisor of City Lifeguards for Carpinteria, where he has lived for over 30 years.


 fran collin ted rhodes


ted rhodes is a writer/photographer living in Carpinteria, where he has resided with his family since 1985. Formerly working out of Hollywood for 22-plus years as a key grip on such films as “Beetlejuice” and “national Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” ted now devotes most of his time and energies to Carpinteria and South Coast images and issues. He is currently one of two official


photographers for the Santa Barbara Blues Society, the oldest blues society in the country.


Fran Collin worked in new york as an editorial, advertising and fine-art photographer for 20 years before moving to Carpinteria. “My wife, Denise, and i followed our daughter, Sofia, here when she was accepted at Cate School three years ago and now call Carpinteria home,” says Fran. an avid foodie, (he and Sofia took second place in the avocado Festival guacamole competition) the photographer is working on a series called “Work-For-Food” and “WaterWomen,” an unconventional portrait series of women surfers.

Jesse groves graduated from Brooks institute of Photography and works as a freelance photographer in addition to


directing a gallery for his alma mater. He currently resides in Carpinteria and tries to get into the great outdoors any chance he can.

Matt Dayka is a California native now residing in Carpinteria. recently returned from a trip to Central and South america, he has a new perspective


on the world. Combining his passion with career, Dayka shoots editorial and advertising photos along the Central Coast, always keeping an eye out for the art in everything he encounters.


in addition to his work for Coastal View news, where he has been assistant editor since october 2005, Paul Sisolak has written for past issues of Carpinteria Magazine, as well as other publications. a graduate of Monmouth University in new Jersey, he lives in toro Canyon.
