glenn Dubock is a self-described “coast snob.” “if i don’t wake up in the morning and smell salt air and hear the roar of the surf, i am tempted to get very lazy.” While his work as media Services Coordinator for Cottage health System keeps him quite busy, he spends his free time hunting down and capturing images that show Carpinteria in its best light.
matt dayka
matt Dayka found the great thing about shooting the greenwell preserve story was finding all the new trails to use. as a runner, he is always looking for new routes. Dayka works as a photographer with Vitamin angels global
relief efforts. in 2009, he visited haiti, india, Kenya, and the Dominican republic.
lindsey ross
photographer Lindsey ross hails from the great state of ohio. She spent some time in Wyoming before moving to California, where she is pursuing a master’s of fine arts degree at Brooks
institute. ross’s most recent project includes photographs from her trip to haiti that will come to show in a Santa Barbara gallery.
liz muraoka
Liz muraoka has been capturing photographic images since owning her first nikon SLr at age 17. her work includes advertising, portraits, and special event photography. an avid bird watcher, she is devoted to capturing wild bird images.
fran collin
photographer Fran Collin’s work has appeared in multitudes of publications around the globe. the Carpinteria resident felt it an honor to work with a photographer of Jesse alexander’s stature. “... and to photograph such an accomplished artist as pam (enticknap) and be in the presence of Dan’s (alvis) Woody and what it represents as a California symbol ... i’m honored,” says Collin.
lindsey eltinge
Lindsey eltinge’s recent appreciation for jewelry is directly related to some of her photography assignments. in addition to being dazzled by the subjects of “gossamer glimmer,” eltinge found herself captured by giannfranco’s trattoria – food photography is her favorite. her commercial work appears in regional magazines and takes center stage in the new book “Chef in the Vineyard.” With her husband in iraq, the San Diego transplant devotes spare time to her birds and beloved long hair Chihuahua, Beethoven.
jesse groves
the howard School photo shoot was particularly interesting for Jesse groves, who makes his home in Carpinteria. “Because i’m pursuing a master’s of fine arts it was interesting to see where art fits in the school’s curriculum.” along with his commercial photography and educational pursuits, groves directs a gallery for Brooks institute.
