W

hile 2011 proved to be a good year for Langley Travel, the independent travel

agents have vowed to make 2012 even better. Pat Waterton, manager of the High Street

travel agents, said: ―2011 has been a very good year for us and we are increasing our staffing levels in 2012, so that we can maintain our level of personal service and our on-going training programmes. ―We would like to take this opportunity to

thank all the clients who have continued to sup- port us. We know you have other choices.‖ Langley Travel are planning a variety of spe-

cial events throughout year. The first will be its annual Travel Show at the Henderson Hall, in the High Street, on Saturday, February 25.

‘Money is tight, so make sure it is secure when making your travel plans’

This event, which proved popular last year,

will run from 9.30am to 3pm. Operators attend- ing will be Great Rail Journeys, Hoseasons Holi- days, Hurtigruten – Norwegian Coastal Cruis- ing, If Only, Indus Tours, Mosaic Holidays, Pres- tige Holidays, Somak Holidays, Typically Italian, Trafalgar Escorted Holidays and Uniworld River Cruising, Beachcomber Tours, 1st Class Holi- days and Cunard, Princess and P&O Cruises. Weddings Abroad will also be fea- tured. On Thursday, April 26, Langley Travel will take a small group to visit P&O‘s, Ventura in Southamp- ton.

Last year’s travel show was a hit with locals. This visit will include transport, a tour and

lunch on board and will be open to people new to cruising or new to the P&O product. Full details will be in place by the time of the Travel Show in February. Pat added: ―On Friday, October 12, in conjunc-

tion with Indus Tours and at a very reasonable price, we are personally escorting a small group tour called Taj, Temples and Tigers, taking in the Taj Mahal, the tigers at Ranthambore Na- tional Park and the Amber Fort in Jaipur, for those people who have always wanted to go but needed a hand to hold – let us hold your hand.‖ Other in-house events, in cooperation with

other companies, are being planned throughout the year, so watch out for our adverts in My Abbots News andMy Kings News for fur- ther details. Pat said: ―Don‘t forget, we like our clients to

remember their holidays for all the right rea- sons. Be careful who you book with. ―The volcano in Iceland has been rumbling

again, and even well respected operators have had their problems. Holiday components booked separately may be at risk. Money is tight, so make sure it is secure when making your travel plans. Speak to your local independent agent.‖ For more details telephone Langley Travel on
