Open year round, Boardwalk Plaza offers approximately 1,700-square feet of meet- ing space. “Our two oceanfront banquet- ing halls can be used separately or be opened up to one large hall that accom- modates up to 120 guests,” notes Zerby.

“We also offer a very intimate Victorian meeting room in ‘The Plaza Cottage’ located just next door to the hotel. It’s perfect for meetings of 10 to 12. For smaller executive sessions, three ocean- front apartments are available; each is suitable for meetings of six to eight guests. All of our meeting spaces are catered exclusively by Victoria’s for the freshest and highest quality.”

Sales manager for Boardwalk Plaza, Karen Zakarian, adds that the hotel’s ban- quet halls are equipped with built-in LCD projectors, screens, a plug-in sound system and both wired and wireless Internet access.

To Zerby and Zakarian, it is the attentive service that clients’ receive which helps this hotel stand out next to other facili- ties. “As a small, AAA Four Diamond prop- erty, we pride ourselves in providing very personal service and a high employee-

Again they note that it is this service and attention to detail that sets them apart. “Smart meeting planners know that our team will reduce their workload and their stress level.”

Other bonuses of hosting a meeting in the beautiful Rehoboth Beach area include no sales tax year round, as well as the wonderful seaside setting and being in a resort town.

“In the summertime we are in full-swing with boardwalk amusements and beach activities; while in the shoulder seasons there are great festivals and events,” says Zerby.

“In the winter, things are quiet and rest- ful, but there is still plenty to do, as many of our restaurants stay open and we are home to three large outlet shopping malls, plus unique local boutiques and shops,” she adds. “We are conveniently located off I-95 and Route One... and just two hours from Philadelphia.”
