Thank you to alumnae Francine Birk who chaired this event for the 8th year! We thank all the cooks and volunteers and bidders too. Together, we raised over $13,000 for NYHS! Now that is a lot of burekas!

n a beautiful warm night in early June, NYHS familes and friends gathered at the home of NYHS parents, Julie and Joe Greene, for the annual Gourmet Food and Dessert Auction. Auctioneers Simon Amiel and Robert Gladstein engaged the crowd in spirited bidding for delicious food lovingly handcrafted by some of NYHS’s closest friends!

A Message From Juliana Gamel 2011 Immediate Past President of the Student Council


On behalf of all the students here at Northwest Yeshiva High School, I would like to sincerely thank you, our donors, for your generosity towards our school. My peers and I have benefitted tremendously from the education and nurturing we received from NYHS. We know that your support is vital and we appreciate your investment in our education.


Your support touches all of us. Your support helps students who might see tuition as a barrier to getting a Jewish education. Your support also enables our school to run efficiently and professionally. My peers and I thank you now and for the future.


(Juliana will spend the 2011-12 school year in Israel before entering the University of Washington as a freshman in the fall of 2012)
