ATTRACTIONS Televisions, funerals and gas pumps, oh my!

Some of our most quirky museums began as personal collections by local residents. See the history of the televi- sion from its very beginnings at the Auman Museum of Radio and Television. With over 600 sets, you can relive your fondest childhood mem- ories as you view scenes from various vintage TV shows. Also, view games, toys and comic books related to the very early television shows of the 1940s and 50s.

At the Toland-Herzig Famous Endings Museum you can view the world’s largest privately owned collection of memora- bilia from famous funeral and memorial events. Featured in Ripley’s Believe it or Not, you can view over 1300 pieces and artifacts while learning about the lives and deaths of enter- tainers, US Presidents, politi- cians, astronauts, sports fig- ures, entrepreneurs and others who have influenced our lives. Walk the halls of this museum with the owner John Herzig and hear him talk about the

“famous endings” and share some inside stories behind the memorabilia.

View also, a personal col- lection of gas pumps and Americana at the American Gas Pump Heaven Museum. With over 50 vintage gas pumps, automobilia visitors can relive the era of bumper cars, Schwinn Bicycles, Howdy Doody, Roy Rogers and Lincoln Logs.

A complete list of all museums, along with address and phone numbers is listed on pages 8-13.
