HOA Board news
Charlene Petragallo The IronOaks Board of Directors held its
regularly scheduled meeting on November 16.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Ms. Peterson
said the Association was saddened to lose a long-time member of the Risk Management Committee, Paul Kimes, who passed away recently.
The Board is in agreement that the
Facility and Community Enhancement Fund (FACE Fund) would benefi t the IronOaks community and enable it to meet some of it’s growing needs without having to levy a special assessment on homeowners. The Fund would be funded by a fee, equal to one year’s annual assessment, to new buyers upon closing on the purchase of a home in IronOaks. Implementing the Fund would take a change to the CC&R, and thus a vote of the membership. An educational program will begin this month and the Committee plans to mail a consent ballot to homeowners in late January. COMMITTEE REPORTS ECC – Bill Wasserman reported on the
street light project and the potential cost savings. The Board encouraged the ECC committee and Board Liaison, Joe D’Amore, to proceed and gather more information from SRP. Pauline Lee and Ilene O’Meara, committee members, provided information on the benefi ts of converting common area to Xeriscape. The ECC Committee together with the Properties Committee will begin an education project for the community. FACE FUND – Ms. Petragallo said the
Committee presented its work to date to the Board at a workshop on November 4. The Master Plan Committee will establish the framework for the oversight controls for the Fund once it is approved.
