fun and many laughs while golfi ng in the Turkey Shoot. The annual team event preceded a complete turkey dinner served in the PV lounge. The team of Marlene House, Jerry House, Marlene Trempe and Pat Trempe was the fi rst place winner. In second place were Mary Ann Bryson, Kirk Bryson, Linda Reber and Butch Reber who gave them a run for the money. Vera Schacht, Carol Schacht, Merle Byrnes and Laine Byrnes captured third place. Most of our 18-hole ladies participated

Foundation was held on December 6, and we raised $8,000, a big success! PVLGA, PVMGA and guests were invited to participate. An over- abundance of raffl e tickets was purchased. Early morning temps were in the 30s, warming to only 54 degrees by late afternoon. Brrr!

The Spirit of Phoenix Chorus T


he Spirit of Phoenix Chorus sings four-part barbershop harmony style songs ranging


from show tunes to gospel to your favorite standards. This 70-man chorus, ranging in age from 16 to 80, will be performing at


the


San Tan Ballroom on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Last year’s show was a sell-out so don’t delay getting tickets. Tickets are now on sale at Cottonwood Homeowner Services for $15. This


show will also feature quartets, one a gold medal award


winner. The chorus’ director, Gary Steinkamp, is very well known in the barbershop world and has directed and coached all over the world. This promises to be an evening of wonderful award- winning sound, dancing and just pure solid family entertainment. If


you look closely, you may


recognize three of your Sun Lakes neighbors who have been member of the Spirit of Phoenix Chorus for many years. They are Steve Schneck, Bill Giessing and Roger Godin.

Trouble in Paradise has the answer to those burning questions. You won’t want to miss seeing the fourth annual Doo Wop benefi t show. Performances are scheduled for February 20-21 and 23-25, 2012. The show profi ts benefi t the entire community as they are donated to the Sun Lakes Fire Department. Join in the many special events leading up to the show itself. You
