THE FAiRFiELd HiSTORy CLuB COLLECTS BASkETS of “junk food” for the Pleasant Hills Children’s Home (PHCH). Member Cynthia kethley explained that junk food is often not collected with other food drives. They wanted the children to get a special treat. in addition, $400 worth of Mcdonald’s gift cards was included. Pleasant Hills Children’s Home, located in Fairfield, Texas, is a private facility that operates completely on cash and non-cash gifts & contributions. Children from birth to 17 years of age are accepted as residents, due to varied family circumstances, and can remain after age 18 if they are enrolled in school.
