Discover Your History
So many can trace their lineage back to the American Civil War – to a young man who fought for his beliefs or to a family member who cared for the soldiers who struggled to survive. Nearly 170,000 soldiers converged on Gettysburg, a town of only 2,400. Four months later, the words of a single man would speak to the hope and healing of a nation. Tese words still echo today.
We invite you to visit Gettysburg and follow the footsteps of your ancestors and of your
fellow statesmen. Trough our Licensed Battlefield Guides, special tours can be arranged to learn more about troops from your state. Tese guides can take you to Fairfield, Hunterstown, Cashtown and other areas around Gettysburg to talk about the skirmishes that occurred during the three-day battle.
Take a civilian tour through town or a museum to learn about the impact on those who lived in
Special thanks to Te Gettysburg National Military Park and the National Park Service for their help and cooperation with the shooting of location photography for the 2012 Official Visitors Guide.
