Better Buddies Eco-friendly Bedding Helps Homeless Pets

he slogan for Better Buddies says it all. “Better Products. Better Shel- ters. Better Buddies.” This company’s mission begins with its products. Each bed cover is made from 100% organic certified cotton and hemp. These materials were chosen based on their unique capacity for both durability and softness, two components neces- sary for pet beds of all size animals. A
durable bed is great, but if it’s not comfortable, who’s going to sleep on it? Underneath each removable cover is a bed filled with PET fiber, made from
recycled plastic bottles. The fiber is so fine; it’s actually more comfortable than the common filling for many pet beds. These eco-friendly choices are simple changes, and they were executed by Better Buddies to offer a new, healthier product for consumption. With a line of beautiful, eco-friendly products, the next goal was to connect it to helping animals in need. Better Buddies linked up with Best Friends Animal Society, the nation’s larg- est no-kill animal sanctuary, to donate 10% of each bed sold directly to Friends’ Guardian Angel Program— helping the most severe-needs animals find homes. This component not only helps homeless animals on a monetary level, but also encourages awareness of spaying and neutering, animal-cruelty and adoption.
