Guidelines for Guests
The Leicestershire Centre is always pleased to welcome guests onto rallies, either for the whole weekend, sleeping in a member‟s caravan, during the day on Saturday or Sunday, or just for the Evening Social. However, there are guidelines that we would ask all members and rally marshals to keep in mind.
Tell the marshal that you have invited friends or family, and give them an idea of when your guests will arrive and leave. Then tell your guests to report to the marshal on arrival. In the event of an emergency, we need to know who is on the rally field.
If your guests wish to attend a social, you must book well in advance and ensure that the full costs are paid. There should be no problem at all when the social is held in a field with no restriction on numbers attending, but the marshals may be providing food, and will need to buy and prepare extra for your guests. Similarly, entertainment may have been arranged at a cost, which will then be shared by your guests.
When the social is held in a hall with a restriction on numbers, the Marshal must give priority to members attending with their caravans and then to guests staying overnight. Only if sufficient space is available in the hall after everyone on the rally has been catered for, can additional guests be allowed to attend the social only. Again, full costs must be met by the guests. Never turn away a rallier in favour of allowing family or friends to attend a social – no matter what the occasion.
