Interiors UK Supplement

Interiors UK is an inspiring event for a number of design sectors. With a reputation built over more than 25 years, the show promises visitors a very exciting experience!

This year’s Interiors Birmingham aims to be a truly indulgent event for all who attend. In line with the show’s categorisation of exhibitors over the last few years, this year’s event will see sub-branded areas brought to life with individual identities. The named areas include Lighting as well as Fabric, Modern Elegance, Décor, Living Lifestyle, Contemporary Design and Flooring.

The theme of this years show will be British Heritage, and the entrance to each of these sections will display a different take on the concept. These will use products from a range of the companies exhibiting within the section. The halls themselves have been designed by Interiors stylist and journalist Diana Civil, so expect beautiful things. INTERIORS UK is very excited to have Diana working with them to create these wonderful areas of creativeness, celebrating design achievements and all that is British. Over 500 exhibitors will be at the show, including big industry names alongside smaller independent companies and design students.

The show will offer visitors plenty of opportunities to network, having made sure that specially designated area’s for interaction are as appealing as possible.

Designersblock are collaborating with INTERIORS UK again, producing a creatively driven, vibrant, relaxing and stimulating hub where visitors will be able to socialise, network and view the latest design talent from new and emerging designers. This ‘Design Village’ will consist of a bar, market stalls, the seminar theatre, VIP and media lounges and the New Design Britain finalists. Visitors will be able to pop into the bar and have a chat with a different design expert each day, including Alex Brownless, co-founder of Artsthread; design journalist and author, Helen Parton; Clifford Leo Harris, designer and trend analyst and Annabelle Filer, owner and curator of SCIN Gallery. The show is also organising specific events to help visitors to make the most of their time at the show. The show is dedicated to creating a buzz around new talent with the New Design Britain competition, an initiative that has been running for a number of years. The competition aims to find young design talent from a host of universities around the country. Initial judging has taken place and the sixteen lucky finalists will display their unique and innovative products at the show. These products are a mix of furniture, fabrics, furnishing accessories
