HYBRID ORANGERY ROOFS – SPECIALISED ORANGERY SYSTEMS HAS SO MUCH MORETO OFFER

Hybrid orangeries are gaining in popularity and offer the consumer a glazed extension without the high price tag. So what is a Hybrid Orangery? – Basically it’s a cross between a standard conservatory and a traditional flat roof orangery and it is becoming a fast growing sector in an otherwise “static” market. Hybrid orangeries are the best of both worlds, combining the light of a fully glazed conservatory with the walls and perimeter ceiling of an extension.

Many hybrid solutions are available in the market place but Gavin

Paskin; National Sales Manager of Specialised Orangery Systems firmly believes that Orangery Room has much more to offer installers and consumers alike.

The aim of a hybrid orangery is to create a glazed living solution that has the look and feel of a traditional orangery but without the normal higher end retail selling price. Designs can be fully glazed with decorative corner pilasters or with the addition of brick piers to give the structure a greater sense of solidity. The overall effect can be altered depending on whether glazed walls are used or masonry ones and all at an affordable price point that definitely appeals to the consumer.

Anyone looking to gain an advantage in this market sector should ensure that the product they choose can offer the following advantages to avoid any future potential issues.

The internal plastered perimeter should be a warm solution without

lots of steel work and brackets – to ensure potential condensation problems do not become an issue with internal plaster. Orangery Room is a warmer solution and also has trickle ventilation at the upper and lower sections of the internal perimeter.

A Fully variable and bespoke solution suitable for every project and design is the best option. Orangery Room is available in any size or roof pitch and to suit all configurations.

Choose a completely fabricated and ready to install solution – not just a “Meccano kit” of bits that may involve lots of drilling or fixing bracket assemblies and cutting components. Orangery Room is fully fabricated with only 2 sections to fit per elevation, making it a far quicker installation option.

A fully complete internal perimeter that is fixed in place vertically and horizontally rather than some basic “shelf only” solution that doesn’t offer the same structural stability and may become a dust trap. Orangery Room is a complete bespoke system that fixes structurally to the glazing bars and the eaves section to create a complete L Section that once plastered creates a true orangery feel.

Orangery Room is designed to offer solutions for both parapet and non-parapet wall options and designs can incorporate single or double Edwardians along with Victorian styles, hipped lean to options and various combinations. Externally non-parapet wall designs can be finished with a standard gutter or the addition of high level aluminium cornice.

The choice is very comprehensive and with a full range of retail

brochures and marketing options available from Specialised – the retail salesman can have a real advantage. In fact the majority of our customers now promote Orangery Room as a standard option alongside traditional conservatories. When the consumer is given the option of a standard conservatory for say a retail price of £12,500 or a stunning Orangery Room for say £15,500 its little wonder that many installers report a 50% conversion rate.

Orangery Room is a fully proven solution and one that we have been supplying for around 2 years now. Specialised offer full technical back up where required, from start to finish to ensuring installations are trouble free. Our system is fitted by existing installers in around the same time it takes to install a standard conservatory roof.

At Specialised we also offer full flat roof orangeries in addition to

our hybrid Orangery Room but the sales speak for themselves, with our Orangery Room outselling our full flat roof solution by around 40 to 1 – so if you want help selling more orangeries, why not talk to the experts at Specialised.
