Emphasis is placed on the individual child in a family atmosphere, which in turn encourages self-confidence and promotes a high standard of work. Pupils are able to experience a wide range of activities while also benefiting from the smaller school approach to education. An impressive scholarship record indicates the high standard of teaching throughout the school – from the two-year-olds in the playgroup to those preparing to move on to senior school. Set in extensive grounds, the school offers small classes and education tailored to the individual pupil. The curriculum places emphasis on the value of art, music, drama and games working in conjunction with the more academic subjects supported by IT and design technology. On the games field, teams of all ranges compete against many other schools at all sports. A school bus service is available both before and after school, as well as early morning and after school clubs.

LINGFIELD Notre Dame School is a Christian based school and welcomes students from all faiths. It was founded in 1940 and is the only local independent day school which provides education for boys and girls from Nursery to Sixth Form. The school is located in the village of Lingfield, just 25 miles (and 40 minutes by train) from London and enjoys over 40 acres of beautiful grounds. Lingfield train station is 10 minutes away on foot. The Junior (2½-11 years) and Senior (11-18 years) Departments are each self-contained. There are currently 840 students on roll. The school is highly successful and oversubscribed and has a fine
reputation for academic achievement and pastoral care. A Level and GCSE results are consistently excellent, enabling students to gain their first choice of university. In 2011 our students achieved 100% pass rates at A Level. The GCSE pass rate at Grades A* - C was 98.8% compared to the national average of 69.8%. In recent years the school has been undergoing a comprehensive development programme including new Science Laboratories throughout the school, Music & Drama, IT, Art & Technology facilities. Sporting facilities have also been enhanced by the creation of a 15 acre Sports field, two Sports Halls, Fitness Suite, a pavilion and Astroturf pitch. Three new dining rooms are in use around the school, including one in the dedicated Sixth Form Centre.
