Exciting activities for all at Westerham Day Nursery


OUR team of qualified and experienced staff at Westerham Day Nursery and Pre-School believe in supporting individual children's learning and development through a range of exciting activities and early year’s resources.


We care for children aged three months to five years, our rooms


offer a safe, bright and stimulating environment for children to explore and play. Our setting is also equipped with a soft play room, an ICT area and two outdoor play areas.


Promoting positive relationships with children and parents is a very important element to our practice. We use a key worker system and encourage input from parents and families to provide better outcomes for the development of children’s well being.


This year we gained an Early Years Professional who is able to continuously develop our setting using relevant and in depth knowledge of early years practice.


We offer a range of sessions to accommodate a variety of needs and children are also able to benefit from the government free entitlement hours in our pre-school room.

FUN ... Children in Hazelwood’s Oak Reception had their


photos taken with Bob the Builder


Building a bright future for Hazelwood’s Oak Reception


BOB the Builder surprised Hazelwood’s Oak Reception children in December when he paid them a visit to officially open their brand new classrooms and outside play area. The children had their photos taken with Bob whilst the mums and dads enjoyed a cup of steaming (builder’s) tea and rock buns. Before he left, Bob toured the rest of The Larks site, visiting the younger children and reading stories with them. The three Oak classrooms were refurbished over the summer holidays


to provide an excellent learning environment for Hazelwood’s ever- growing Reception classes. There is free flow access to the outside play areas so that the curriculum can be accessed by all children inside and outside of the classroom. With numbers on the increase, the school is looking to move to three form entry next September in order to avoid having to disappoint parents.
