The Athletes are Coming!
‘Make A Difference Tavistock’ is a local charity that provides a community centre for people who have suffered or are suffering mental health problems. The Charity is hosting an Olympian night
in Tavistock College where you can meet top athletes who will give a talk followed by a Question Time session hosted by Olympic and Commonwealth athlete, Robin Brew giving you the opportunity to ask questions and talk to athletes who have inspired people and made a difference in the community around them.
Some of the athletes that will be attending are Kate Allenby MBE (Olympic Medallist Pentathlete), Lucy Weigersma (Olympic Events Rider), Gorgs Geikie (2012 Olympic competitor Pistol Shooter), Michaela Breeze MBE (Olympic Medallist Weightlifter), Robin Brew and Ellen Keane (ParaOlympic athlete). The evening will be raising money for
‘Make A Difference Tavistock’ to enable them to keep their community centre open. The charity relies on volunteers and funds to keep this safe space alive and running for all community members.
Entry is free and donations to ‘Make A Difference Tavistock’ will be welcome.
