16 Dec. 17, 2011 - Jan. 6, 2012 Vintage 95 opens downtown

Restaurant and wine bar Vintage 95 is a new addition to historic downtown Chandler’s dining and nightlife scene. Located on the corner of Boston and Oregon streets, menu items include eight varieties of bruschetta, gourmet fl atbreads, soups, salads and sandwiches available for lunch or dinner, and more than 150 varieties of wine from around the world. An expanded dinner menu is in the works for early 2012.

Gavin Jacobs, the co-owner of the restaurant, alongside partners Craig and Tricia Hills, honed his restaurant skills by working at House of Tricks in Tempe, for nearly a decade before launching Vintage 95

with former Tricks alum Chef Mike Wahlberg. “We saw the demand for a sophisticated-yet-welcoming wine hangout in Chandler – minus the upscale price tag,” Jacobs says of his decision to open downtown. “The building fi ts perfectly into the historic-chic vibe we were shooting for, both inside and out.”

Overstuffed wine-colored couches and seats, large rustic wood tables and fl ickering fi replaces inside and on the patio can seat about 150 guests.

“Jacobs’ decision to set up shop inside the town’s very fi rst post offi ce … adds to the vintage vibe, while the ’95’ refers to the street address,” adds company representative Ty Largo. Weekly live entertainment and regular events will be featured at the restaurant, including an upcoming multi-course New Year’s Eve dinner. Vintage 95 is at 95 W. Boston St. For information or reservations, call 480-855-WINE (9463).
