FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK As another year draws to a close, most of us take the
opportunity to reflect on the past twelve months, and to envision the next twelve. Changes occur every year – new businesses come and go, maybe you’ve moved to a new part of town, or changed jobs. Fundamentally, Southwest Florida stays the same while the changes in our lives create new personal perceptions. With the most beautiful weather of the year serving as a
backdrop for the next few months, it’s easy to envision a healthier, happier future. That said, it’s just as easy to flake out on New Year’s resolutions before the end of January! This year’s annual “Health & Wellness” issue explores paths to optimal health, including some more non-traditional routes. It’s not enough to simply hit the gym if your mind isn’t
engaged, or if your diet leaves something to be desired. So from yoga to acupuncture, kayaking to meditation, this issue highlights the best of both traditional and non-traditional approaches to healthy living that can be found right here in Southwest Florida. I’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our loyal
advertisers and everyone who contributed their talents to Pulse Magazine SWFL in 2011. I’m looking forward to another exciting year of expansion and inspiration in 2012! Happy Holidays!
