Small Learning Communities Our college is based on amodel of small learning communities. Each student belongs to a distinct community.

The eight communities are organised as follows: • Cougar and Panther: learning communities for students in both Years 7 and 8

• Jaguar, Leopard and Puma: learning communities for students froma combination of Years 9, 10 and 11

• Lynx: a 20 place learning difficulties, sensory and physical impaired centre

• Serval: a 28 placeAutistic Disorder Centre (ASD). The students at this centre have beenASD diagnosed, with some having comorbidity needs (e.g. areas associated withASD) • APost 16 community

The creation of smaller organisations ensures that each individual student becomes a valuedmember of the community within a safe learning environment. An interdisciplinary teamof teachers are assigned to each learning community.
