SUMMARY: The average percentage of the available new build properties in London is currently 3.8 per cent of all available stock. There are a number of postal districts highlighted as new build hotspots, which can be found in the surrounding areas near to the improvements to the East London overground lines.Hackney (E8) at 27.7 per cent andRotherhithe/Deptford (SE8) at 23.1 per cent showwhere developers have bought relatively cheap land and built newproperties, as this iswhereCentral London andCanaryWharfworkers commute from. Interestingly, south of theThames sees newhome developers stay close to the riverbank as north of the river there is quite the opposite effect,withwest of Central London bereft of any newhome concentration.
