Provides students with entry-level skills in the hospitality industry.
Credits:
3.5 elective per year (See pages 77-78 for college credits)
Who may participate? High school students ages 16-22 years
Certification Students have the opportunity to acquire OSHA Teen Worker Safety in Restaurants certification.

Basic culinary skills - Cooking and baking - Recipe terminology - Measurement - Culinary equipment use & care - Sanitation and safety – Banquet set-up/clearing – Dining area maintenance
Guest relations and quality service - Maintenance of guest rooms - Laundry & linen care - Washer/dryer operation - Security/emergency procedures Service industry clerical skills
Employability skills - Work ethic - Following directions - Attendance/punctuality - Teamwork - Communication skills - Accountability - Proper attire
