Daniel D. Beaulieu
Daniel D. Beaulieu, 85, of Salem died December 6, 2011, at Salemhaven. Born in New
Jersey, he was the son of the late Mabel (Hawthorne) and Ralph Beaulieu. Daniel served in the Army during World War II and retired from Harvard University where he worked as a carpenter. Daniel was a member of St. Matthew’s Church in Sandown. He was active in the Salvation Army and played baritone in their band. Daniel was a talented carpenter and built his home in Sandown. He loved all animals and spent many hours feeding and enjoying God’s creatures. Holiday traditions were very important to him because his family would all be with him.
Daniel is survived by his
beloved wife of 62 years, June (Ryan) Beaulieu of Salem; his five sons, Daniel and his wife Kristine of Westford, MA, Ralph of Manchester, David and his wife Shannon of Colorado,
Charles and his wife Tammie of Franconia, and Richard and his wife Kathy of Virginia; his four daughters, Claudette and her husband John Appleby of Summerfield, FL, Beverly Hayes of Derry, Dorothy and her husband Bob Barrett of Salem, and Debbie and her husband Bob Tine of Sandown; his brother, Kenneth Beaulieu of New Jersey; his sister, Janet Rodriguez of New Jersey; 17 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Granddad’s ninth great- grandchild was just born on December 6. A Funeral Service was held on December 10 at St. Matthew Church in Sandown, followed by cremation.

Robert J. d’Entremont
Robert J. d’Entremont, 80, of Hampstead died December 8, 2011, at Salemhaven. Bob was born and educated in East Boston, MA, and graduated from Boston English High School, the son of the late Irene (Surette) and Bernard d’Entremont. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Bob enjoyed traveling. He was a member of St. Anne’s Church in Hampstead and was on the Holy Name Church Parish Council in West Roxbury where he was a CYO advisor, a Pre-Cana counselor, and a member of the Men’s Club. He was predeceased by his brother Herbert. He is survived by his wife of
56 years, Carol (DeCristoforo) d’Entremont of Hampstead; his son, Robert d’Entremont and wife Paula of Derry; his daughters, Lisa and husband Donald Simpson of Derry, Lori d’Entremont and loving companion James
Alfred Fairbrother, 66, of Salem died October 31, 2011, at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
Born in Boston, MA, he grew up and was educated in Wilmington, MA. He later graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA. He was a resident of Salem for the past five years, formerly of Sandown. Alfred was an attendant for the VA Hospital in Bedford, MA. He was also a
former Technical Director for many theaters, including Dracula’s Castle in Salem, MA. He was a founder of the Lion’s Renaissance Fair. He was an avid actor and singer. He loved to play Dungeons and Dragons and had hundreds of figurines. He enjoyed photography, riding motorcycles and singing Christmas Carols at area nursing homes with friends. He was the son of the late Alfred and
Josephine (Rossi) Fairbrother. He is survived by his close friends and caretakers, Kathryn and Jerry Morris of Salem. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on December 12 at St. Joseph Church in Salem, followed by burial in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. To send a message of condolence to the

Sister M. George (Rita) Guertin
Sister M. George (Rita) Guertin, 98, a Sister of Mercy for 72 years, died on December 7, 2011, at Warde Health Center in Windham after a period of declining health. A native of Manchester,
she was the daughter of Jean Baptiste and Angeline (Burque) Guertin. The Most Reverend George Albert Guertin, third bishop of the Diocese of Manchester, was her uncle.
Sister George received
her Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Mount St. Mary College in Hooksett. She also held a Master of Arts degree in French from Boston College and did further studies in French at the Institut Catholique in Paris, France. For 35 years, Sister George taught languages, primarily French and Spanish, at the secondary school and college levels. She was a teacher at St. Joseph High School for Girls in Manchester and at Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Hooksett and Nashua. From 1957 until 1978 she taught French, Spanish, and Latin, and was head of the department of modern languages at Mount Saint Mary College.
After the college closed in 1978, Sister George went to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester where she was an assistant to the chaplain, making pastoral visits to patients. For five years she volunteered as a tutor at the Hillsborough House of Correction in Manchester, where she taught English to French-speaking and Spanish-speaking men. She also tutored local students in French.
In 1989, she moved to
Warde Health Center in Windham. There, she helped in the center’s gift shop, and visited and prayed with the residents. Family members include
several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on December 12, in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Warde Health Center, 21 Searles Road, Windham, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford.
