WALKERS AT LASTINGHAM

SURFER AT SCARBOROUGH BAY

Refresh your mind, body and soul by spending some time in North Yorkshire’s wonderful countryside. There are walks for all abilities from short strolls to the more challenging Cleveland Way and Wolds Way National Trails and no matter where you go wildlife, heritage and breathtaking views are guaranteed.

The quiet lanes, forest tracks and old railway lines on the Moor to Sea Cycle route provide some great places for families to cycle while for the more adventurous, a network of bridleways can take you up hill and down dale for as far as your legs can take you. If you want to really test your stamina and skills, try the graded mountain bike trails at Dalby Forest which has hosted the Mountain Bike World Cup for the past two years.

There is a thriving year-round surf scene plus sailing, fishing, canoeing and much more on the area’s coast, rivers and lakes. You’ll also find riding centres, scenic golf courses, tree top adventure experiences and a gliding club based on top of the north’s largest hill fort!
