The Dolphin Centre’s Santa parade kicks off Christmas in Poole
Dolphin shopping centre’s annual Santa Parade heralded the start of the festive season in Poole. Arriving on a RNLI lifeboat
decorated in tinsel, Santa greeted families on the Quayside before leading the parade along the high street to the Dolphin shopping centre with Mayor of Poole Councillor Graham Wilson, Town Crier, David Squire and the cast of Lighthouse Poole’s 2011 pantomime, Cinderella.
Dolphin centre manager,
John Grinnell, said: “It was amazing to see so many children beaming from ear to ear along the high street. This is a long established Poole tradition which we are pleased to stage each year for the community; it’s a wonderful way to welcome Santa in to our grotto and really kicks off Christmas in the centre whilst raising well needed funds for the RNLI.”
